Doctor John Conley

Doctor John Conleys Work has improved human health on a global scale.Infectious disease specialist and professor University of CalgaryDr. Conley has been working on innovations in antimicrobial resistance, infection prevention, and healthcare for decades. His contributions have had a major impact on medical practice, research and policy. In 2002, he founded the 21st Century Research and Test Site Ward. Most recently, he chaired the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 Infection Prevention and Management Guidance Development Group. Dr. Conley is described by his colleagues as a humble, creative and devoted humanitarian. Due to his vision and supportive leadership, he is the highest honor winner of this year’s CMA.

He is the founder and medical director of the Crossroads Clinic at Women’s College Hospital. Toronto.. He co-founded a Canadian refugee medical doctor to help refugees access health insurance. His political advocacy includes a successful fight against federal government cuts on refugee health insurance, which began in 2012 and was revoked by federal courts in 2014. Dr. Rashid is also actively training the next generation of refugee medical advocates across the country.

Angela Finn’s Research is already making a difference.While working towards her MD Western UniversityShe made an important contribution to both Ontario Canadian guidelines for COVID-19 vaccination. She is the first author of numerous publications related to COVID-19. In addition, when a pandemic occurred, she rejoined her PhD supervisor’s lab to assist in the transition from coagulation and thrombosis research to her research focusing on COVID-19.

After noticing an increase in burnout and depression in medical learners, he became a doctor. Stephanie Smith STRIVE — We have developed a program called simulated training for resilience in different environments.CFB Gauge Town Medical Officer New Brunswick, She developed the program based on her experience developing as a critical care center in the Canadian Army. She is currently expanding STRIVE throughout Canada.
Mehul Gupta

Mehul Gupta I’m not waiting for his MD to influence. In 2017, he founded Youreka Canada, a national non-profit organization that empowers young innovators, thought leaders and active citizens through educational opportunities and mentorship. He has also worked closely with Kids Help Phone on campaigns to raise awareness of Canadian youth mental health resources. Gupta is currently studying medicine at the University of Calgary.
