Weight loss and diet
Calorie intake continued to change from one week to the next. It was always about a calorie-deficient diet that helped me on my journey. At the beginning of the journey, intake was on the high side. For example, the 1800 kcal diet continued to be adjusted by the coach as we moved forward. Therefore, all my intakes were quantified. For example, 5 grams of oil per meal, 50 grams of carbohydrates per average, and about 250 grams of protein per day.
The menu is very simple and looks like home cooking. Oats, boiled eggs, tea for breakfast. Rice, chicken / fish curry, lunch salad, snacks are 1 banana and 1 milk after exercise, dinner is chapati and mixed veggie. The only difference between these meals is the amount of carbs I use and the amount of oil used to cook all these items.
What did my cheat day look like:
Occasionally there were cheat days when I had certain opportunities with friends and family. I didn’t monopolize everything offered, but kept checking how much I was taking. Homemade cakes have always been a weakness for me.
Foods I stopped to lose weight:
The most important thing was to stop sugar and potatoes altogether. I moved from using sugar to using 0 calories of Stevia. I used to like to use potatoes in every meal, whether vegetarian or non-vegetarian. Potatoes are carbs and my carb intake was limited so I had to stop it.
Are there any shortcuts to losing weight?
In the past, before I started my fitness journey, I had all of these crash diets I was doing, but in reality, I feel happy with less water in a week, but as soon as I stop it Will be either regaining the same or more weight in the coming weeks. So to answer your question-no, there is no shortcut. It’s a slow and steady process. We must never lose hope.
Weight loss and training routines:
My training schedule is weight training with 3.5kg dumbbells for 40-60 minutes a day and HIIT twice a week for 30 minutes. Next, the goal is to complete the 12K steps a day.
What worked for me:
Quantifying my diet and being active has really worked for me. In my daily schedule, I tried to keep walking whenever I had a long meeting. This allowed us to reduce the number of steps per day to 10-12K.
When I went on holidays or vacations, what didn’t work was according to the schedule. At that time, I had partial control.
