Three-time Classic Physique Olympia Champion Chris Bumstead is currently in the bulky stage, eating about 5,000 calories a day. According to a 26-year-old bodybuilder, he lost about 8-10 pounds after being infected with COVID-19 during the December 2021 holiday season, a little later than a year ago.
The victory of Bamstead’s three classic Physique Olympia is the most athlete in the history of the division and makes him one of the most decorated bodybuilders in history. However, he is not content with his glory and is making every effort to win the Olympia four times in a row. On April 8, 2022, “CBum” visited the YouTube channel to share off-season shoulder training. Check it out in the video below:

Classic shoulder training
Bamstead talks about his supplement brand RAW for the first eight minutes of the video, then trains his shoulders in the gym.
It’s about to become huge now. I took a lot of things to pump.I took [RAW supplements] PUMP and PUMP2. I took a lot of salt, beetroot, and some savage preworkouts.
Bamstead begins shoulder training with a sitting dumbbell shoulder press. He uses 100 pounds of dumbbells for what looks like the first set. The 6’3” bodybuilder did not share his shoulder warm-up routine.
Bumstead uses the 1.5rep technique when running the second set. To perform a 1.5 dumbbell press, he lifts the dumbbell in the middle of his range of motion, then returns to the starting position at the bottom, then extends his arm straight up to complete the operation until lockout. Bumstead will upgrade to a 120 pound dumbbell as the final set of shoulder presses.
“Many people, many warm-ups,” says three Classic Physique Olympia champions after completing a warm-up set on the second shoulder exercise, the Machine Shoulder Press. He uses three 45-pound weight plates on each side for warm-up. Bamstead starred in the working set by stacking four 45-pound weight plates and quarters on each side of the machine.
Bamstead will raise laterally on the dumbbell side for the third exercise of the day.
I haven’t worn a tank top in the gym or video since it was shredded … Fortunately, I’m not that fat now. [I] Given the PUMP products and the amount of salt I got in my body today, I got a decent little pump.
After finishing his first exercise, he takes off his sweatshirt and he seems visibly nervous. He then moves to the inverted deltoid deck fly to train the posterior deltoid. Bamstead concludes his shoulder training with a standing machine side lateral raise.
