Frozen foods can be life savers for a pinch diet, but many of them do not have a good reputation for being healthy. Frozen TV dinners are well known to carry a lot of sodium and saturated fat and can even cause severe side effects such as elevated blood pressure, headaches and swelling of the throat. If you start by just strolling through the frozen aisles of a grocery store, you’ll have to choose between convenience and nutritional value.

Amidor states that shrimp is another lean protein, “here seasoned with a sweet chili Thai sauce with added sodium, sugar, and fat.” She suggests “having a balanced diet with brown rice and steamed vegetables.”
